Have you ever used a flushable wipe? Flushable wipes are part of a 300 million-dollar industry but aren’t, in fact, flushable. Wait, what? It’s labelled as flushable, so I should be able to put it down the toilet. Well, actually, no, while toilet paper breaks down almost instantly in water, flushable wipes don’t. A lot of things can technically go down the toilet, but flushable wipes jam pumps, block screens, and clog equipment.
